My Mood: | Ok so i have an interesting question for the group..... If someone joins AMPLE or facebook or whatever.....and he/she has just gotten out of jail, prison, a mental instiute, rehab, etc.... do they have an obligation to tell people??? Especially prison, or a mental institution?? |

My Mood: | I dont think so. Now, if they meet somebody and start to hit things off, they should probably tell that person, but in terms of just letting it be known to the general public, no, I dont think so. |

My Mood: | S$%T. Hell yes. If he was a child molestor or a serial killer or wife beater I would want to know. If he was locked up for weed, that is a different story. How come prison guys get more action than regular guys? |

My Mood: | Now although i would want someone to tell me if they just came out of rehab or some Mental Institution, I don't feel they don't have an obligation to tell people but at the same time if people asked the right/tough questions, you would eventually find out, time and communication reveals all things. |

My Mood: | Even though it would be nice to tell you beforehand ,nothing says they have to tell you in hopes they can find some that isn't too 'prejudgemental' of what they went though. They might be trying to change, then again...maybe its a front. Who knows inside people minds nowadays. |

I am sooo not saying!! But i will say im somewhat surprised almost SHOCKED at the attitude about someone who has been incarcerated....while i understand everyone is entitled to a second chance...if you are a convicted FELON i or have been in a mental institute it would seem that you are obligated to tell people that from the get go...maybe because of what i do for work or because im a mom i'm more cynical but dayum...ladies the standards should be a BIT higher don't we think??? Don't you all believe you deserve better than someone who has been incarcerate??? I may come off as a snob but if you had my job for 25 years you would see people for what they are and those who have been incarcerated RARELY if ever change.... |

My Mood: | I was thinking about posting this on the "bad date thread", but I will here. I took a woman out abou 2 months ago - nice dinner, came back to my place, and over soft music and candle lights she proceeded to tell me she felt obligated to tell me she is bi-polar, can't work, her daughter stays with her ex, she spends $700 /mo. on meds, and feels it only appropriate to share this as she needs someone who can support all of this (more so emotionally). I thanked her for sharing and told her I didn't think she should feel obligated to share all of that on a 1st date. So, if she felt obligated to share what to me is actually common place, I guess you make a good case Becki. |
