Have you tried to raise a kid on your own, Rick? I can't imagine having to get up in the middle of the night and worry about a kid who's sick or needs something. Then, because she spent half the night up with the kid, she's tired for her job the next day. Keep in mind, this is the only means to support the family. Imagine all the responsibilities of a family falling on a single person. Now, doesn't that person deserve to go out and blow off some steam?!

Also, she IS a victim. Single mothers don't become single mothers by choice. They are single because they may HAVE to be single because the father is either a douchebag or he was a good dad that died or something else. Maybe they're single because the father took off and didn't want the kid. I would call that a victim, wouldn't you? Don't you think that the mother is going to have a hard enough time explaining to the kid why there is only one parent? I think it's pretty crappy to say that single mothers haven't been dealt a shit sandwich. I'm not saying that there aren't exceptions where you have a single mother completely by choice. However, I would estimate that the fair majority of single mothers out there aren't so happy about the situation they were left to deal with on their own.

I know many people who have gotten married and are in serious relationships from different BBW events...I for one am not looking just for a hook up... I have never been married and have no children but, the women who I do know who were married and have kids are not the type to just jump in bed with random men. You are making it seem that we are all whores and what not and that is just down right rude to even sterotype the parties like that and the events.

I am 35 years old and have no problems meeting people outside of BBW events... in fact, the guy who I do date I didn't even meet at a BBW event. I just think it is just rude that you would even think that... are you one of those guys who just goes to an event to try to get a quick "piece of ass" or something?? Yes, there are some women who do things like that and that is their perogative but, there is other women who go there to socialize with people and friends that they have met over the years...

getting back to the topic, it's abt who you are most compatible with... i've had good and and relationiships and sex with bbws and non-bbws. i wouldn't say bbws have it over any other types of women in any one category and vice versa. when you find someone with whom you are compatible i think a person will try harder to make things work whether it's emotionally or physically.

I'm sure there are some single mothers who go to hook up. I'm not saying that all single mothers are saints. Also, I apologize if I'm not entirely objective with what you're saying because I was raised by a single mother. However, you specifically singled out single mothers as part of the problem and I'm just curious why you decided to target them.

I am not attacking single mothers. Given the age of many of the women who go to the dances they may have kids. In my personal experience I have come in contact with many single mothers at the dances. Look at the demographic of the dances it is not the 18-25 age group.

Second I did not like what was said about men preying on single moms (sounded like the victim mentality). What about cougars? On a saturday night in The NYC clubs you will see older women going after young guys. You would not hear those guys saying that they are preying on us.

This is funny cuz last Thursday nite is the first time I learned what a cougar was. I happen to attract young men for some reason and not because I try or go after them. Basically, there is a time and place for everything and I was told there is a specific place in NYC that ctaers to cougars and young men...no, I will not be going but it just amazed me...but, to each his own. I think people should just worry about what they are doing and not so much into other people's biz. Basically, one cannot be preyed upon unless they let it happen. Again, we are all humans, can't we just stop labelling as BBW, BHM. etc etc?
